The Truth is...
This is a perfectly natural question because the number of veneers you get has a significant impact on cost, and porcelain veneers don’t come cheap.
However, a complete set of veneers might not cost as much as you think. Why? You may assume you need more veneers than is actually the case. So let’s find out how that works.
Do I Need Veneers for All My Teeth?
You may think a full set of veneers means all your teeth need to be treated – 32 of them if you have the full complement of adult teeth.
That’s not the case. Except in exceptional circumstances – like a particularly wide smile – you may only need as few as six veneers.
This is because porcelain veneer treatment is designed to transform your smile by addressing aesthetic issues with teeth that are visible when you smile or eat – the so-called “social teeth”.
The most important teeth for an attractive smile are obviously your front teeth (incisors). You can get an idea of how many veneers you may need simply by looking in the mirror and counting how many of your upper teeth are visible when you smile naturally.
Even a couple of veneers may enhance your appearance but the overall effect may not look as natural.
Do I Need Veneers for My Lower Teeth?
Another reason you may need fewer veneers than you think is because lower teeth don’t typically require veneer treatment – just your upper front teeth.
Teeth in the lower jaw may benefit from a less expensive cosmetic procedure such as whitening or bonding to match the colour selected for your upper veneers and improve tooth shape and size.
How Much Will It Cost to Get the Veneers I Need?
Veneers are tooth-coloured wafter-thin shells that cover the front surface of your teeth to fix aesthetic problems such as stains, chipping, crowded or gapped teeth, and misshapen teeth.
We find that many patients at Porcelain Veneers Sydney need six, eight or ten veneers to achieve their desired look.
Our porcelain veneers cost from $1,500 to $2,500 per tooth, depending on the material used to make the veneers.
So:
- Six veneers = $9,000 to $15,000.
- Eight veneers = $12,000 to $20,000.
- Ten veneers = £15,000 to $25,000.
How Can I Pay for My Veneers?
Some people choose to have fewer teeth treated to reduce cost, and then get more veneers when they can afford them.
Or, at Porcelain Veneers Sydney, you can get all the veneers you need immediately and spread the cost with interest-free payments to suit your budget –at just $100 a week.
